Worship Media Coordinator
Join the team of a progressive, LGBTQ+ affirming congregation committed to serving peace through justice in Bellingham and beyond. This position is 5-10 hours per week average, Sunday mornings and then flexible schedule, vacation, and sick leave benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce live-stream and hybrid (in person + live-stream) worship gatherings, including collecting pre-recorded content and running the live-stream for Sunday and special worship services (e.g.: Christmas Eve, Good Friday, etc.); troubleshoot as needed
Care for and set up microphones and other tech as needed for vocal and instrumental participants
Recruit and train volunteers to assist with production and running of microphones and live-stream
Schedule volunteers to host outside organizations (e.g.: concerts, author events) as needed
Edit and post worship recordings to media pages
Assist with special media projects as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven success in
Proficiency in audio mixers as well as multiple video recording, editing, and live-streaming software
Proficiency in use of, placement of, and mixing of various microphones, both
wired and wireless
Troubleshooting properly in the moment
Meeting deadlines and attention to detail
Basic graphic design and video editing
Willingness to support teamwork, collaboration, and a collegial approach to work with others
Welcoming manner toward all people without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, country of origin, religion, socioeconomic status
Receiving and processing direction and feedback effectively
Preferred:
Theater or musical tech background
