Successful candidate will have some combination of the following skills and education:
- Some office experience preferred, but not required
- Familiar and comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, such as Word , Excel, PC/Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
- Comfortable with people – genuinely likes helping customers and has a positive telephone presence.
- Excellent oral communicator and proficient with the written word.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Process-oriented, looks to improve and / or establish processes
- Quick learner, flexible, willing to learn new things constantly. Asks for help when needed.
- Self-starter; after training, you are able to work and stay busy with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail This is one of the important ones in this line of work.
- College degree or certificate (or in progress). Someone that is currently attending college may fit well with this job, but only if this work is interesting and would help with your intended career / field of study. Applicants with no college will certainly be considered!
Duties
1. Client / prospective client interaction (in-office, telephone)
2. Book meetings, update calendars and other software applications as necessary
3. Prepare documents: printing, packaging,
4. Update and print form letters or other documents, prepare for signature and mailing as required.
5. Review and respond to digital communications
6. Perform data input accurately using specialized software (after receiving training)
7. Process mail and route for action
8. Establish and maintain files
9. Occasional online research
10. Occasional trip to court, post office, etc.
Flexible scheduling, 18 – 24 hours a week during business hours Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm. Prefer at 3 to 4 days / wk.
