Alderwood Builders LLC is a Veteran owned, Bellingham-based general contractor specializing in remodels and additions. We have an immediate opening for an experienced carpenter to join our team. Our ideal candidate is reliable, has strong communication skills, and the ability to work as a team member as well as work independently.
Responsibilities:
Interact with team members and clients in a professional manner.
Arrive on time at each project site.
Load and unload necessary equipment and materials.
Review plans and blueprints to ensure you understand the scope of the project.
Communicate with other construction team members to ensure accuracy of tasks.
Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project.
Perform all aspects of carpentry including framing, windows, doors, cladding systems, and finish carpentry.
Safely operate and maintain tools.
Maintain a clean safe work area.
Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines.
Requirements:
5 years of experience in residential construction.
Able to clearly communicate with team members, subcontractors and customers.
Able to read and comprehend building plans.
Able to perform accurate take off for materials required.
Pass background check (drug and alcohol screen).
Able to manage time/schedule to accomplish tasks on time.
Able to work independently and as a team.
Possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Have own tools.
Have cell phone.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay -$30.00 to $35.00 per hour
