Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be directly responsible for building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. You will utilize innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to solve difficult manufacturing and engineering problems daily, at both a systems and specialized level. You will be a critical lynchpin between the production, development, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams, and lead production on the assembly line as well as new production introduction. You will be the first line of support for all manner of technical challenges to the production team, using your expertise to rapidly respond to, triage, and solve product issues that slow down factory throughput. Finally, you will be responsible for standing up new processes, equipment, and assembly lines to support an aggressive build ramp, making data-driven decisions at each step in the process.Required Skills:Must Have Minimum 3-8 Years of Professional Experience in:

Aerospace Industry

SAP or ERP software and systems

Low Rate Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction

Lean manufacturing practices & principles

Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a 100% Onsite role in Redmond, WA.

75% of time will be spent on the production floor working with technician teams to solve all types of technical blockers, from test report reviews, defect material triage, ERP blockers, etc.

25% of time will be spent performing independent development work such as performing data analysis on disturbances, improving troubleshoot documentation, etc.

PLACEMENT TYPE: This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Months with the opportunity to extend up to 24 months or convert to a fulltime employee with the client.Shifts Available: New Team members in first line support roles are assigned to specific shifts to support factory operations. After a 2 months training period during normal business hours (9-5), First Line Support Engineers will align to one of the 4 shift schedules below (all shifts are 4x10 structures, with four days, 10 hours each, worked each week)Day 1 – Sunday – Wednesday, 6am - 4:30 pmDay 2 – Wednesday – Saturday, 6am – 4:30pmNight 1 – Sunday – Wednesday, 5pm- 3:30amNight 2 – Wednesday – Saturday, 5pm – 3:30amWednesday is an overlap day for D1/D2 and N1/N2.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
