The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a key role in a small cross-functional team in a start-up environment developing the next generation Lidar solutions for automotive, industrial and consumer applications. You will participate in defining system level requirements and functions, then translate these requirements to hardware design implementation. You will be responsible for analog, mixed signal, and high-speed digital circuit design and simulation, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, component selection, prototype bring-up, design validation and design documentation. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across internal functional teams as well as with third party suppliers, partners, and customers. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think creatively and to operate within a flexible, fast-paced program dedicated to advancing product development. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering.  Responsibilities:Responsible for all aspects of electrical designs to deliver product features, system performance and quality for low-cost high-volume 3D sensing applications. Independently develop transmitter, receiver and compute boards to produce differentiated products based on Lumotive’s core technologies. Responsible for the selection and evaluation of electrical components and subsystems. Responsible for electrical prototyping and testing process and infrastructure. Responsible for planning, execution, and reporting for design validation, electrical performance, and compliance with industry standards. Responsible for board build and bring up, including working with domestic and overseas contractors and suppliers. Work closely with FPGA engineers, mechanical engineers, optical engineers, system engineers, and related cross-functional engineering team members to meet technology, performance, and schedule objectives in delivering product features and requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and develop project plans.
