Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First Line Manufacturing Manager (level K) to support the Boeing Production Systems (BPS) team based out of Renton, Washington.Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to strengthen One BPS culture, tools and key performance indicators. Candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to inspire others during moments of change. This includes delivering good news and leading difficult conversations. A great candidate is able to envision a complex organizational structure and learn to navigate it and leverage connections. FOD-free product and Clean as You Go are also mandatory components of our production system, which require steadfast commitment to our standards, our people and our customers.Position Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a plan to implement our One Boeing Production System.
Lead with a deep understanding of the One BPS standards.
Establish measures of success and ensure supervisors and teams have the appropriate metrics.
Use leader standard work to monitor progress through periodic checks and be accountable for performance.
Monitor and coach peers, leaders and direct reports on One BPS standards.
Remove roadblocks that are inhibiting progress to our OneBPS vision; seek help from leadership team and support, when required.
Communicate performance and progress to all team members, peers and leaders.
Lead a culture of continuous improvement and systematic problem-solving.
Directly interface with teams; find opportunities to personally instruct and coach them by conducting daily gemba walks and participating in tier meetings.
Be visible on all shifts and ensure communication occurs between them.
Ensure strategic alignment and support, and participate in improvement projects.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton or Everett, Washington.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal or informal leadership role
Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading team
1+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
1+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment
1+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
