Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Strategy, the Manager of Manufacturing Product Management oversees a team of product managers to drive growth and profitability through effective development of new products/features, product-centric commercial activities, and portfolio management. This role requires developing a solid understanding of customer pain points and needs, along with awareness of existing products. Additionally, it involves building and developing a high-performing team while working cross-functionally across various functions within the organization.This position is part of the Marketing Department located in Hemet, California and will be Onsite in Hemet, CA or Remote in the Pacific Coast.This role will require travel, for up to 40% of the time.In this role, a typical day will look like:

Building and developing a high-functioning product management team.

Informing the product development roadmap and product definitions; developing and validating business cases for new product opportunities by considering attractive customer segments, broader market trends, and customer needs, and leading effective product launches.

Participating in overall product strategy, product planning, and R&D requirements for new and emerging products.

Overseeing a product portfolio and driving results, including revenue, pricing, and profitability, while managing the existing portfolio through pricing, phase-outs, and product enhancements.

Using primary and secondary market research to assess market and customer dynamics and collaborating with Strategic Marketing and R&D to incorporate intelligence into offer development and lifecycle activities.

Identifying and managing pricing strategies based on customer value, competitive analysis, and product cost.

Performing regular competitive analysis to rate product capabilities, pricing, promotion, and distribution; analyzing how these impact market share and recommending and implementing changes to maintain competitiveness.

Rationalizing solution offerings by performing map/gap analysis against current offerings and market opportunities.

Creating, executing, and analyzing VoC plans; linking prioritized customer needs in price/performance to product lines, with a focus on future product requirements, including enhancements and breakthroughs.

Leading the development of value-selling approaches that creatively leverage competitive advantages and training the sales team to strengthen their skills.

Co-developing product marketing objectives and collaborating with the Market Communications team to operationalize marketing programs.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field.

7 to 10+ years of manufactured product management experience , with a strong focus on hardware, industrial products, or physical goods. Note : Experience focused primarily on software product management is not aligned with the requirements of this role. Candidates should have expertise in managing tangible products and solutions that align with B2B or consumer markets.

Experience gaining customer insights to identify and size market needs.

Experience in the creation of new product design specifications.

Ability to conduct data analytics, identify trends, and make recommendations and conclusions with data.

Proficiency in Excel and common business productivity tools such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases, project scheduling tools, etc.

It would be nice if you also possess:

Knowledge of municipal drinking/wastewater and/or industrial market.

Strong communication skills including written and verbal communication skills.

Effective personal and project team time management skills.
