Job Summary
National Frozen Foods Corporation in Renton, WA, a vegetable processing/manufacturing firm, seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist for our Renton Corporate office. This position will conduct complex discrepancy research; collect past due receivables on assigned customer accounts by means of standard communication both internally and externally, and in compliance with established company policies. The position reports to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, and may obtain additional duties to assist in the optimization of AR/ credit systems, processes, reporting and other Accounts Receivables functions. Position works in collaboration with various departments and the accounting team.
Duties, Responsibilities:
Process invoices and process/post customer payments
Ownership of the collection efforts on assigned accounts
Ensure all collection efforts are within compliance to company policies. Works directly with Sales and Customer Service in support of collections and resolution regarding discrepancies for unresolved balances
Develop a skilled understanding of the customer base
Develop expertise in AR systems and interfaces, which involves data entry and GL coding into company ERP system
Work directly with the AR Supervisor to evaluate customers at risk for payment delinquency
Maximize efficiencies, organize work processes and procedures, and automate procedures through system improvements
Collaborate with other departments for issue resolution
Other duties:
Develop/maintain updated procedures, work instructions and training materials in order to perform current accounting functions.
Cross-train with appropriate accounting department members to serve as backup, as needed
Create miscellaneous accounting reports
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong initiative, problem solving and resolution skills

Excellent organizational skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Intermediate Excel, Word and Outlook proficiency
Ability to learn quickly and reprioritize to keep up with a dynamically changing company
Strong technical skills in AR processes and systems
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping concepts and practices
Accurate data entry, detail oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to multitask
Ability to work with peer groups to ensure that the needs of the accounting department and plant contacts are being met; disseminate information to vendors in a timely and accurate manner
Maintains a high level of confidentiality and discretion
High School and/or equivalent required; an Associates or Bachelor of Science/ Arts degree in business, accounting or related field is preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivables required
Experience in the Food Industry or manufacturing preferred
Knowledge of large ERP system preferred
Details:
Full time, Non-Exempt Position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, work schedule to include core business hours that employees are expected to be present.
