Job Summary:

We are seeking to hire a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at Dependable Staffing Agency. The candidate should have bookkeeping experience in healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation related to our partnered facilities, private clients, posted insurance reimbursements, and pending payments. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of our organization through their expertise in bookkeeping practices and adherence to accounting standards.

 Responsibilities:

Manage general ledger accounting tasks with precision and attention to details

 Perform journal entries accurately and in a timely manner

Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Gusto, Square pay or similar platforms for financial recordkeeping

 You proactively investigate the root causes of billing discrepancies and collaborate with both external partnerships and internal teams to address them effectively

 Additionally, monitor accounts receivable, manage daily cash postings, and assist the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing

 They will also oversee the coordination of incoming and outgoing mail, manage office supplies, and maintain a streamlined supply system

 The duties extend to preparing ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by supervisors, contributing to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the department

 Conduct payroll processing efficiently and ensure compliance with regulations

Assist in budgeting activities by providing financial data and reports

Implement double entry bookkeeping methods to maintain accurate financial records

Monitor insurance reimbursements and pending payments and reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy

Collaborate with the finance team to support financial reporting requirements

Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data

Skills:

- Proficiency in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting practices

- Experience with journal entries and reconciliations

- Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Gusto, Square pay or similar tools

- Ability to handle payroll processes effectively

- Understanding of budgeting principles and practices

- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping techniques

- Familiarity with financial software for data management

Qualifications

Minimum of Two (2) years accounts payable and accounts receivable processing experience required

The ideal candidate should have bookkeeping experience in healthcare settings or similar

Proficiency in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting practices

Experience with MS Word and Excel required

Experience with journal entries and reconciliations

Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Square and Gusto or similar tools

Ability to handle payroll processes effectively

Understanding of budgeting principles and practices

Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping techniques

Familiarity with financial software for data management
