Tristate Roofing, Inc. is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to job our production team. This position is key to ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards.
The Quality Control Inspector will collaborate with the production department in scheduling jobs, delivery of materials, jobsite supervision and customer communications. The Quality Control Inspector will provide on-site quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process. Outstanding customer service will be provided to the homeowner from the start of the project to the final inspection after job completion.
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – 40 HOURS (weekends as necessary)
Hours fluctuate based on business needs
LOCATION: On the road at various job sites
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contact the homeowner before the job starts and introduce yourself. Ask the homeowner if they want to meet to discuss jobs and review details.
Complete pre-production job inspections and recognize and recognize areas that need attention before starting the project.
Make sure materials are delivered to the job site.
Meet installers on day one and discuss the scope of work.
Visit job sites when work in progress.
Keep records of site visits.
Must have fall protection training.
Ensure safety protocols are prioritized.
Create and archive safety reports.
Advise installers that a safety person will be visiting the job site along with Field Supervisor to ensure all OSHA regulations and labor and industry rules are followed.
During site visits complete safety inspections, job organization and cleanliness inspections, including pictures and documentation
Inspect company vehicles and provide crews with safety accessories and uniforms as needed.
Responsible for completing final walk-through inspections with customers after job completion. If the job is completed 100% correctly, and signed off by the homeowner, ask the homeowner to review TSR on Google or Better Business Bureau. Collect final balance at this time.
If the job is not completed 100% correctly, meet with the Production Manager to plan repairs. to fix.
Ability to convey issues to management and solve problems.
Relay information between management and installers when needed.
Excellent communication skills to be the liaison between production department and customer.
Spanish speaking a plus.
Detail oriented.
Sell homeowners on future needs and products they can use. Focus on upsell, quality control and customer satisfaction to ensure TSR remains one of the most trusted roofing and home exterior companies in Western Washington.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Schedule and oversee the installation of products.
Smart phone experience to utilize online tools (Company Cam) that TSR uses.
Ensures adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures.
Ability to multi-task, which requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and quality.
Proficient in safety requirements for all building sites, OSHA certification a plus.
Solid understanding of local, state, and federal building code requirements.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a process improvement-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated
Can work independently and with others.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong time management skills.
Able to perform small repairs.
Valid driver’s license.
Clean driving record is required.
Ability to drive long distances in company provided vehicle.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction trade, general knowledge of roofing, siding and window installation a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy loads.
Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold.
Ability to erect and dismantle ladders to safely ascend/descend and climb on roofs.
Ability to lift / handle materials that weigh between 40 and up to 100 pounds.
Use safety harness, secured to a roof bracket when up walking on roof.
