Immediate Opening for Childcare Assistant and Front Desk

Are you a friendly, responsible, and reliable individual who loves working with children and members of the community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Spanaway Fitness! We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about childcare and fitness to fill our childcare assistant and front desk position.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills

Clean and organized habits

Reliable and responsible, with good decision-making skills

Patient and able to handle various situations with children (for childcare)

Experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred for childcare)

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Good time management skills

Responsibilities:

Assist children with maintaining good hygiene practices

Ensure the safety and engagement of children while in our care

Keep the Childcare room tidy, organized, and free of hazards

Assist with customer care and relations, providing excellent service to our members and their children

Collaborate with front desk staff to coordinate childcare services

For front desk

For a front desk customer service role at Spanaway Fitness, the job duties might include a range of responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Here's a sample list of job duties:

Customer Service:

Greet all members and guests promptly and with a friendly demeanor. Answer phone calls, manage email correspondence, and handle inquiries with professionalism. Provide detailed information about gym facilities, membership plans, classes, and services offered. Address and resolve member complaints and issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Monitor entry and access to gym facilities, ensuring only authorized members and guests enter.

Sales:

Promote and sell gym memberships, renewal plans, and fitness programs. Explain different pricing models and benefits of each membership option. Encourage upselling of additional services such as personal training sessions, specialized classes, and health products. Meet monthly sales targets and contribute to the center's revenue goals. Process membership sign-ups, renewals, and cancellations.

Administration:

Schedule classes and manage bookings using the gym's software system. Maintain and update member accounts and records. Process payments and manage financial transactions accurately. Prepare and manage administrative reports and schedules.

Facility Maintenance and Cleaning:

Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk and lobby area. Ensure all brochures, flyers, and promotional materials are well-stocked and neatly displayed. Coordinate with the maintenance team to keep gym equipment and facilities clean and in good working condition. Conduct regular checks of the restroom, locker rooms, and common areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.

Safety and Compliance:

Monitor the gym floor and equipment to ensure safety protocols are followed. Familiarize oneself with emergency procedures and be prepared to act in emergency situations. Ensure all health and safety standards are maintained as per regulatory requirements.
