Job Description –
We have a part/full time position available at our Pre-school/Childcare Center
in Burien, working with groups of children ranging from 18 months to 5 years
of age.
Preschool Teacher’s Assistant: 8.00 AM – 5.00 PM (Flexible split shifts)
We are looking for candidate who is kind, considerate, enthusiastic and willing to work and learn
alongside our Lead Teachers in a center-based setting. Fluent in Spanish and or any other
language is a definite plus.
Duties
- Contribute and support the Lead Teachers with the already established Montessori Method of
Instruction (No experience necessary but must be willing to learn and help with daily
routine)
- Work collaboratively with classroom teaching team both in the facility and at recess
- Follow all state and local health department and licensing laws
- Assist in playground duties at recess
- Assist in snack preparation
- Assist in preparing material for classroom use
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, which include classrooms, bathrooms and kitchen areas.

Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Excellent verbal and written English (bilingual a plus!)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- 30 hour Child Care Basics – Wa State STARS - training
- CPR & First Aid and HIV/Aids & Blood Borne Pathogens certification
- Washington State Food Handlers Permit
- Willingness to complete all required online and in-person trainings in a timely manner
- Experience working in a child care center setting is a plus but not necessary
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, stoop, spend significant time standing and walking, sit
on the floor, and be generally active

Job Type: Full-time,
Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour and higher depending on experience
