Building Blocks Nursery School is an early learning center and preschool for children ages 2-5 located in the Bryant neighborhood. We are currently seeking Substitute Teachers to work in both our Juniors (2-3 year olds) and Preschool (4-5 year olds) classrooms. The school is open 7am-6pm, year round. Hours are flexible/on an as needed basis, up to 40 hrs. per week
Job Duties include:
-Interact positively with all children to encourage an open and engaging learning environment
-Implement and manage preschool curriculum
-Communicate respectfully with families
-Clean, organize and maintain the classroom and all teaching materials
-Perform other tasks as assigned/needed
Required Qualifications:
-Be a minimum of 18 years of age
-Must hold a High School Diploma/GED; preference given to candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree or CDA or Associate’s in Early Childhood Education
-Excellent communication skills with children, staff, parents, and administration
-Self starter with strong accountability
-Able to routinely kneel, bend, crouch and sit on the floor for extended periods of time
-Able to stand, walk and sit on child sized chairs throughout the day
-Must meet state licensing requirements for education and additional center/school requirements
Pay:
-$24+ per hour
Start date: As soon as possible.
