As an EHA Construction Project Manager, you will join a team dedicated to ensuring that capital construction projects are completed on-time and under budget so that the housing units that EHA's residents live in are healthy, safe, and properly maintained. This position works directly with property management staff, maintenance staff, and other EHA departments to ensure that capital construction projects adhere to City, County, and State regulations and codes, as well as EHA policy. This position will work collaboratively with the Procurement and Development teams to streamline work processes, decrease project turnaround times, and secure contractors at the best value to EHA to modernize and update EHA's existing real estate assets. The ideal candidate will care deeply about our mission and will be a self-starter, exercise independent judgement, learn and explain complex technical requirements, and excel at working with our Property Managers to resolve construction related issues. We are looking for a person with a positive attitude, ability to manage multiple projects at once, a collaborative mindset, and who is comfortable working with a diverse variety of cultures, viewpoints, and skillsets. This position may require obtaining permits for some of the projects as well as hiring and collaborating with architects/engineers when needed. This is fast-paced work applying technical construction knowledge to scope, bid, and complete a project. The position requires driving within Snohomish County.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Education: Associate degree or Certificate in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field. May substitute an additional two years of relevant work experience for the required degree.Experience: At least eight (8) years construction management experience, including job-site field experience COMPETENCIES:Adaptability and Flexibility: demonstrates a willingness to adapt to organizational change, new challenges, and demanding situations.
