AES Consultants has a rare opening for land surveying field personnel. We are looking for both an experienced Party Chief and Chainman. The work involves boundary, topography and construction surveying in the field. No experience is necessary for our entry level Chainman position. We are willing to train the right candidate who is self-motivate, positive, reliable and willing to learn new skills. For those who have experience we are always looking for career minded candidates who are looking to expand their horizons and work with a quality firm.
Typical Responsibilities
Taking field measurements using precise equipment for the purposes of mapping and staking property boundaries, topographic mapping and construction surveying.
Measuring horizontal and vertical data collection using Leica surveying equipment along with other various field devices
Clear trails through wooded properties marking property lines and topography mapping
Working within right of ways along roads mapping streets, utilities and other features
Working alongside heavy earth moving equipment setting stakes for construction
Minimum qualifications
Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check
Must be willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather
Must be physically fit to carry 30-40lbs over long distances, over uneven and sometimes steep terrain
Must be able to spend the day walking, hiking and working on your feet
Must be an honest, reliable person who can get along with other employees, clients and the general public
