Method Homes is in search of a skilled Technical Architect/Project Coordinator to contribute to the growth of our Architecture and Construction business. Based in our Seattle office, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time, Method Homes and Method Architecture specialize in designing, constructing, and selling bespoke, enduring, sustainably built, prefabricated modular homes.

This presents a compelling opportunity for an individual with the right expertise to join our vibrant and expanding company, committed to revolutionizing the way buildings are conceived and marketed. As a pivotal technical role, the position centers around the integration of building technology for modular design, technical constructability review, documentation and detailing, improving current BIM integration for efficiencies in project coordination and estimation.

We seek a candidate who can approach construction with a creative problem solving approach, yet adapt to modular constraints and collaborate effectively with consultants, our architecture team, factory leads, and contracting partners. The ideal candidate is energetic, professional, articulate, and possesses deep knowledge of residential design and construction.

Currently, we operate on a hybrid schedule, with three days per week in the office and up to two days per week working remotely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform project specific documentation and technical detailing.

Conduct interval constructability/documentation standards reviews

Coordinate and communicate with design consultants, the architectural design team.

Collaborate with the Principal Architect/Estimation team to refine existing BIM standards for improved documentation and estimation workflows.

Refine current detailing, specification and assembly standards in collaboration with our Principal Architect and Factory Leads.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years of previous architecture/construction experience, with knowledge of the custom home-building industry, building envelope design and project documentation

Strong technical knowledge of residential construction, detailing, and construction methodologies.

Experience in coordinating/collaborating with consultants and the construction team.

Proficiency in 2D/3D drawings (digital or hand sketches) for communicating design ideas.

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam (knowledge of BuilderTrend is a plus).

Strong organizational and communication skills with clients and teammates.

To be considered for this position, applicants must be a US citizen/permanent resident or authorized to work in the United States. Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in architecture or interior architecture. Salary will be commensurate with abilities and relevant experience.

Method Homes offers a comprehensive benefits package (Hybrid Office/Remote, V/H/S PTO, SIMPLE IRA, medical/dental/vision, etc). Compensation is dependent on experience $70,000 to $90,000 (DOE). Please respond to this posting via email with your resume and cover letter.
