James Guerrero Architects is seeking a talented Architect or Project Manager to join our team. At JGA, you will play a key role in designing and overseeing the implementation of innovative architectural projects. Currently, we are working on a wide variety of projects ranging from single-family to multi-family, food service, public facilities, office, and religious. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainable architectural design, project management, and a passion for creating spaces that blend functionality with aesthetic excellence.

Responsibilities:

Develop design proposals and pursue job leads.

Manage and lead architectural projects from concept through completion.

Working with clients, consultants, and code officials throughout project development.

Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements.

Conduct site visits to ensure implementation of design specifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution OR 3 years minimum experience managing projects from schematic design through construction administration.

Experience working in an architectural setting as a project lead

People Skills: Able to maintain good working relationships with clients, consultants, and code officials.

Experience with LEED, Passive House, or other sustainable building certifications.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting Salary: D.O.E.

Medical: $481 per month medical stipend

Retirement: Simple IRA through Plan Member Services. Employer match up to 3%

Paid Time Off: Starting at three weeks per year

Holiday: 10 Holidays observed each year with paid time off

Continuing Education: During 1st year of employment, the office will pay for continual education related to various aspects of sustainable design (LEED certification, PHIUS certification, etc.) up to $1,500 per employee and allow up to 32 hours of paid time to attend seminars/classes. Subsuquent years are $1,000 and 16 hrs.
