Our team functions at the crossroads of software engineering and application cybersecurity, where we protect Amazon's customers building ultra-scale, highly available, and exceedingly fortified software systems managing authentication and authorization across the Amazon infrastructure.

Our team's charter is equally focused on securing Amazon's customer service experience and other internal supporting system for the network backbone, while in the midst of exponential growth in scale and significance. Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a looking for a Senior SDE build highly distributed systems aimed at providing safe operating capabilities for our customers. You should be passionate about being part of a world-class team that welcomes, celebrates, and leverages a diverse set of backgrounds and skillsets to deliver results. About the team
Work/Life Balance:
The CSIAM team values work-life balance. We value different lifestyles that people have - e.g. daycare pickups, helping a partner who works weekends, caring for aging parents, going to the gym once a day - and we want to provide an inclusive environment for everyone. We are builder-operators of our services at CSIAM and have an on-call rotation where you'll participate once every 2-3 months. We fervently strive to reduce our on-call load by ensuring that our systems are optimized for automation, self-service and fault tolerant, and at every turn attempt to resolve the root cause issues for repetitive and unnecessary manual work.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years experience building production software systems
• Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
• Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
• Experience defining, developing, and maintaining REST based interfaces
• Experience with the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C, Objective C, Python) and open-source technologies


• Understanding of software security concepts such as encryption, signing, and authentication
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
• Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces
• Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
• Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality
