As a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), you will build data products and platforms that will help AWS comply with global trade requirements at scale. You'll design and build data solutions which will influence critical AWS product and trade compliance workflows and help leaders make strategic business decisions.Key job responsibilitiesIn this role you will:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.

Design and maintain efficient data models for analytical and operational purposes, considering scalability, performance, and data integration requirements.

Build scalable solutions/self-serve platforms that will provide data/KPIs to support business decision making.

Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: discovery, design, build, test, validation, and documentation.

Proactively developing new metrics and studies to quantify customer behavior.

Able to present deep dives and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Document data architectures, pipelines, and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.

Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

3+ years experience performing business intelligence or business analyst functions, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools.

Experience in SQL

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Experience with AWS solutions such as Glue, S3, Kinesis, and Redshift.

Experience performing exploratory data analysis using scripting languages like Python.

The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
