DescriptionThe CNS will have general expertise in surgical/procedural care. The CNS develops, implements and sustains clinical education/training and competency requirements for the clinical workforce within ASC utilizing evidence based practice. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Or equivalent educ/experience.

Master's Degree in Nursing.

upon hire: Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) certification in area of specialty (e.g., CCRN, CEN, CNOR, AORN, CGRN); must be current and maintained. If not present at time of hire, has 6-12 months to complete to maintain qualifications.

3 years Surgical/Procedural nursing care experience.

2 years CNS experience in Surgical/procedure area.

Preferred qualifications:

upon hire: Basic and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Instructor level.

upon hire: Certified Nurse-Operating Room (CNOR) or Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative Certification (CNS-CP) or Certified RN First Assist (CRNFA)

upon hire: Basic arrhythmia certification.

2 years Ambulatory surgical/procedural setting
