Description:
This position serves as the first point of contact for people seeking assistance with IT problems. This position supports our Microsoft Windows workstation environment by performing initial troubleshooting of problems, researching and answering questions, and escalating to the appropriate people as necessary. Patience and excellent customer support are expected.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT service requests via phone or electronically.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Document all requests and responses into help desk system.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Escalate problems to appropriate support technicians.
  • Setup and administer new Active Directory, email, and application accounts.
  • Setup and/or relocate hardware (e.g. workstations, monitors).
  • Travel to other local area sites to troubleshoot issues in person.
  • Facilitate receiving and inventory tracking of IT equipment.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Assist with documentation of IT processes and procedures.
  • Assist network troubleshooting, monitoring and support.
  • Backup all network configurations for disaster recovery.
  • Maintain network inventory.
  • Support Google Apps Suite.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field. Microsoft certification (MCP) or equivalent preferred.
  • Three to five years of hands-on experience supporting users in a production environment.
  • Multi-lingual preferred.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate to customers in person and remotely.
  • Be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Be a team player who can step up when necessary to get tasks done.
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions.
  • Work with a diverse population of patients and employees.
  • Think quickly, multi-task and prioritize workload, escalating when necessary.
  • Handle confidential data with integrity.
  • Be patient with and/or respond positively to complaints or problems.

Knowledge of
  • Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 operating systems.
  • Microsoft Office 2010/2013.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
  • iOS and Android mobile devices.
  • LAN/WAN networking basics.
  • Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Google Application Suite.
  • Help desk application usage (TrackIt).
  • Printers and scanners.
  • Application installation such as Adobe, Microsoft Project, PowerBI Desktop, Vizio, etc.
