Job DescriptionWelcome to Holland America Line, a premium cruise line dedicated to explorers, foodies and music lovers who want to explore the world on perfectly sized, refreshingly spacious ships filled with one-of-a-kind experiences.We’re looking for an amazing Specialist, Dining and Beverage to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office. You’ll be responsible for administrative support and organization for the dining and beverage department, including but not limited to inventory, cost control, analysis, and documentation. Must have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to remain organized and efficient. Maintains departmental reporting, tracking of projects and timelines and manages relationships with business partners. Participated in menu cycle development and owns the menu content formatting and changes as needed. Facilities POS updates and change according to the business need.Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Specialist, Dining and Beverage role. Is this you?Responsibilities
Administrative and system management for the dining and beverage operations department including menus, standards and procedures, reports, and project timelines
Monitors, measures and controls key expenditures in the dining and beverage general supply categories
Assists in preparing and implementing menu cycles and other restaurant or beverage menus per seasonal or annual change
Manages and tracks point of sale system needs for change or operational requests including price changes, new button requests, deleting outdated items and screen configurations
Monitors inventory levels and works closely with business partners to ensure arrival or deliveries for key operational supplies
Tracks and manages agreements with vendors related to guest facing materials such as but not limited to menu folders, menu paper, banners, check presenters and order pads
Assists in planning and implementation of dining and beverage and initiatives programming.
Maintains clear and consistent communication with ships team and leaders, business partners, project stakeholders and vendors.
Works in conjunction with culinary team on all menu cycle engineering, content formatting and oversight.
Requirements
Hospitality Management or Tourism Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
At least 5 years of experience with the food & beverage or hospitality industry is required and/or preferred
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office products including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Effective planner and problem solver
Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to articulate concepts and processes and gain buy-in
Demonstrated ability to work across departmental boundaries
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status)

Base Salary Range: $51,000.00 to $68,800.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
