Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First Line Transportation Manager (Level K) to lead our Licensed Transportation team of truck drivers, responsible for a variety of over the road licensed vehicles such as semi-tractor/trailers, including flatbeds and doubles, aircraft fueling tankers, box trucks, buses, vans, limousines, etc. Our team receives assignments from the transportation dispatcher, manually picking up, sorting, loading and unloading packages up to twenty feet long weighing up to 35 pounds.This role will require occasional on-call weekend work. This position is primarily 3rd shift, but may require the ability to work any shift in the Puget Sound Region based on future business needs.We are seeking a goal focused and team oriented individual as well as leadership skills that inspire outstanding performance and daily innovative improvements. You will enjoy making a difference, looking for positive outcomes, and having fun. This team of hourly drivers is represented by a collective bargaining agreement with the Teamsters Local 174. You will work in a diverse team environment leading safety, communication and customer service expectations.Position Responsibilities:Lead and integrate employee activities across more than one area (multiple sites) in materials management and transportation.

Design routes, methods, process, and procedures that deliver results at the lowest landed cost.

Develop and complete project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.

Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Lead, develop and motivate employees and teams.

Develop and implement integrated organizational strategies and plans.

Establish performance metrics and monitor critical route adherence with the appropriate detail and frequency to determine trends and financial deterioration well in advance of actual performance impact or default.

Establish and maintain performance expectations to minimize financial impacts, and prevent production line interruptions.

Identify and employ innovative and efficient technologies and management processes to achieve better service and business results.

Influence decisions on the best mode of transportation to carry freight on behalf of Boeing and subsidiaries.

Drive a service culture mentality to enable business partners and employees to achieve performance excellence at a competitive cost.

Manage driver’s performance of their statement of work; track performance metrics, lead business reviews, and establishes corrective actions as needed.

Identify and develop safety risk mitigation processes, procedures and plans.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience in management or relevant leadership experience

3+ years of experience leading process improvement initiatives

Must be able to work 3rd shift, as required by this position

Must be willing to cover on call shifts, including weekends and after hours

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree and/or military experience

5+ years of previous experience as a CDL driver

2+ years of experience managing freight handling personnel

3+ years of experience in domestic supply chain logistics

3+ years of experience leading teams to execute to safety, quality, delivery & cost commitments/targets

3+ years of data and/or experience
