The Floor care technician is responsible for instructing and teaching all new associates the proper processes and procedures of floor care. Maintain a high standard of excellence Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors. Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment. Assist with identifying staff training requirements; provide technical guidance and direction to custodial team members. Train Floor Tech workers to operate and clean the equipment and attachment tools and ensure maintenance is performed as necessary Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment including but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment. Ensure site contractual obligations, company policies, and procedures are followed Inspect & examine the equipment & attachment tools to ensure quality Examine floor care chemicals and their use, ensuring correct dilution ratios are being followed Job Requirements: Excellent work history Excellent communication skills Ability to train others or to learn how to train other Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Team focused approach requiring the ability to work with others and take direction Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work efficiently with attention to detail Reliable transportation Background check required Minimum Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: High school degree preferred, but not required. Certifications: N/A Experience: At least 1 year of floor tech experience preferred. Travel Minimal travel is required Physical and Working Conditions Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull. Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company.
