Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in Seattle, Washington. This role falls within the healthcare industry and will be based in a traditional office setting. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of administrative duties, including the handling of interoffice mail, charge slips, and customer inquiries. Responsibilities: Accurately process incoming interoffice mail Handle and organize charge slips Conduct scanning activities for document digitization Exhibit proficiency in email communications to ensure smooth operation Log data in spreadsheets for record-keeping Utilize Allscripts, Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Cerner Technologies, and EHR SYSTEM for daily tasks Employ Epic Software for healthcare administration Perform auditing tasks to guarantee compliance with industry standards Execute billing functions and claim administration Answer inbound calls professionally, addressing inquiries and concerns Create and interpret charts and graphs for data presentation Manage document scanning tasks for record digitization Carry out data entry tasks to maintain and update database. Requirements Proficiency in using Allscripts software for managing medical records Well-versed in the use of Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) Familiarity with Cerner Technologies to enhance healthcare operations Solid understanding and practical knowledge of EHR SYSTEM for electronic health records management Ability to use Epic Software for medical billing, scheduling, and clinical operations Capable of efficiently answering inbound calls and addressing patient queries Experience in conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in medical records Ability to handle billing functions, including charge entry, payment posting, and follow-ups Skillful in creating and interpreting charts and graphs for medical data Experience in claim administration, including processing, tracking, and resolution Proficiency in document scanning and maintaining digital and physical records Excellent email communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies Strong data entry skills, including accuracy, speed, and familiarity with medical terminologies.   • The MLS performs pre-analytic, analytic, and post analytic phases of laboratory testing procedures from waived to moderate and high complexity testing. The MLS recognizes appropriate and inappropriate selection of lab tests and correlates lab results to patients clinical condition. S/he possess scientific knowledge to evaluate quality control, instrument, and result data. Other duties include: responsibility for documentation of all activities, monitoring supplies; compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to safety and laboratory testing; face to face and telephone customer service; computer data entry and retrieval; workplace cleanliness and maintenance.
