DescriptionThe Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.GREF’s Project Management Office (PMO) drives and supports consistency and scalability for delivery of GREF projects, processes, and documentation across all regions (AMER, EMEA, APAC). The Manager of Project Delivery role executes projects of various scale and complexity that transform GREF and help constantly raise the bar for customers. The PMO delivers tools and methodologies that help GREF self-manage projects and build visibility over all initiatives taking place globally.As the Manager of Project Delivery you will provide oversight of global project deliveries and oversee a large team of third-party Project Managers. . Working closely with service line leaders across GREF, you will help strategize on the transformational direction for their organizations and identify opportunities for them to accelerate delivery by translating strategic objectives into feasible action plans. As part of Global PMO, you will set up global project priorities and lead global projects. The successful candidate will have excellent program and project management capabilities, a thorough understanding of the office workplace environment and corporate real estate, and display traits such as quick learning, flexibility, and agility.Key job responsibilities Provide project management and oversight for global, cross-functional initiatives, from scoping to successful delivery and handoff with stakeholders. Lead vendor team and ensure high quality delivery through active involvement in project scoping, risk identification/mitigation, and project closure activities Support project sponsors and stakeholders in defining business requirements, including collaborating with technology teams. Align the team on the most important priorities and adapt to shifting needs Assemble project teams, identifying the right resources to ensure project success Ensure consistent and accurate communication of project status to stakeholders. Maintain staffing levels, hiring high-quality talent, and motivating the team to achieve goals. Identify and implement continuous improvement solutions and innovation opportunities Develop and maintain scalable mechanisms and playbooks. Build strong partnership with leadership and program managers to support for key organizational goals Manage escalations requiring immediate action and problem solving. Act as a thought leader on project management best practices within the organization. Strategize with project sponsors, challenge outcomes and propose fit for purpose solutions. Identify lessons learned and apply them to the growth of the PMO organization. Contribute to the refinement of the organization’s project management methodologyBasic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects

5+ years of experience in program or project management

5+ years of experience managing teams

5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

Project management certification highly preferred

Experience integrating project management best practices, methodologies, and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMI, design thinking, Continuous Improvement) in global organizations

Experience leading global project teams or Project Management Office organizations

Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects to the satisfaction of key stakeholders, preferably in real estate and facilities and/or operations

Exceptional program and project management skills, including the ability to develop robust plans, allocate resources effectively, and manage risks and dependencies

Strong communication skills which include ability to moderate large forums and drive groups to build consensus within constrains and conflicting priorities

Ability to write in narrative format

Strong analytical capabilities

Adaptability and cultural awareness to work effectively across diverse regions, time zones, and business environments in a matrixed organization

Experience using change management to guide organizations through complex transformations

Experience in leading cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives, including use of Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)

Proficient in project management software, data analysis tools, and other relevant technologies

Tech-savvy with the ability to adopt and improve tools

The base pay for this position ranges from $113,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $183,600/year in our highest geographic market.
