And you play a part in shaping the future of the outdoors, for people and our planet.This job contributes to REI’s success by recruiting and filling Store Leader positions within the West Store Regions, as well as assisting in the execution of all REI recruiting activity. This position partners with the Hiring Managers to proactively identify the most effective sourcing strategies to meet the needs of their assigned client group. Proactively updates assigned client group on status of recruiting activity. Collaborates and partners with other HR disciplines and other internal and external parties regarding business/people issues and the needed recruiting solutions. May facilitate other Recruiting initiatives. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.Responsibilities and Qualifications

Execute, plan and support recruiting practices, systems and programs congruent with REI culture

Ensure the hiring needs of the fast paced business are met in a timely manner

Consult and advise hiring managers on overall hiring process, collaborate on job requisition details and creation, and advise on effective candidate assessment/interview techniques

Effectively screen and interview candidates to assess skills

Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers and HR Business Partners to ensure hiring requirements are met

Consistently update applicant tracking system and hiring managers in a timely manner

3+years of recruiting experience in a high volume environment

Ability to manage work load in a constantly changing environment

Ability to influence groups and individuals to move in a desired direction, build productive working relationships and effectively negotiate.

Basic knowledge of all HR disciplines.

Understands recruiting technology.

Ability to operate a personal computer using MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
