At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health you will find the safest and highest quality of care provided by our expert, compassionate medical care team at 11 hospitals and nearly 300 sites throughout the greater Puget Sound region.ResponsibilitiesThe Virginia Mason Cancer Institute is a multi-disciplinary program which provides a continuum of care for prevention/detection, cancer diagnosis and treatment, and hospice/bereavement. Outpatient chemotherapy treatments are available Monday through Saturday with flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the patient. Oncology Staff are skilled in giving care to patients both professionally and compassionately. The Oncology Infusion Center also provides injections and intravenous treatments for patients with other medical diagnosis. Our Oncology Infusion Services department offers convenient 10 hour shifts for nurses. The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.QualificationsWe require:
Current WA State RN license
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Preferred:
One or more years Oncology & Chemo experience.
