I have a long-term, part-time project for which I am seeking a very well-organized and strategic-minded individual to help me curate all my belongings, to "present" the story of my life in a retrospective manner, and have the "final product" serve in a performance art-like way as a testament to my life to-date! Interested individuals can send me brief summary information with a few initial high-level ideas about how you would go about working with me to curate my non-fancy life possessions so that the meaning of the items can be considered and displayed (or thrown away/recycled) as appropriate. I am at a stage of my life in which I'd like to take stock of all my very basic belongings and tell a straightforward story with them that will serve as part of my life's legacy. This job will be part-time and long-term, since it will be a gradually unfolding, co-creative process. The successful applicant will hopefully not be planning to leave Seattle any time soon and will be available to come by for a total of 4-5 hours/month on two Saturday afternoons (2-2.5 hours each time) to engage with me in a possessions review and categorizing process, with accompanying organizing and purging, to develop this proposed celebration-focused life retrospective with me. This should prove to be a relaxed and fun process, and there will be poignant aspects too as I share the lived references for my belongings. The performance art component will be for my friends and family to enjoy whenever they come to my home.
