Our ships offer innovative features and enriching experiences focused on destination exploration and personalized travel, inviting guests to savor the journey.We’re looking for an amazing Senior Data Engineer to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle or Miami offices. You’ll be responsible for the designing and the development of ETL, Data Integration and Data pipeline. This senior data engineer will review the work done by ETL developers and data engineers to make sure they are following best practices.Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Senior Data Engineer. Is this you?Responsibilities
Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into the desired format, and load it into the data warehouse, CRM Analytics database, and Snowflake
Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues, troubleshoot data-related problems, and implement appropriate solutions.
Monitor and optimize data processes, ensuring efficient data retrieval and minimizing latency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CRM, marketing, and sales, to understand data requirements, design data models, and implement solutions to meet their needs.
Develop data pipelines and automation scripts using Python, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, data warehousing, ETL, and cloud technologies, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure.
Review the work done by ETL developers and data engineers to make sure they are following best practices
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of IT experience
Minimum 10 years of data engineering and ETL experience
Minimum 7 years experience in Informatica
Experience in Snowflake, Oracle and DB2 databases
Experience in Python scripting preferred
Experience in BI tools like OBIEE and Power BI preferred
Experience in big data tools
Ability to interact well with all levels within the organization.
Excellent problem solving/analytical skills with a high level of accuracy.

Base Salary Range: $105,600.00 to $142,500.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
