Location: Seattle, WA - work onsite 3 days a week Employment Type: Permanent/Direct Hire Compensation: $130-160K plus bonus and stock options Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, sick time, etc. NuWest is partnering with a growing industry leader as they scale their technical infrastructure. Looking for a Data Engineer to build “ground up” their first cloud-based data warehouse environment. This person will have full, end to end, responsibility for implementing, supporting, maintaining and the continued development of their selected data warehouse. This position will lead the scoping, selection, go live and sustaining activities as they consolidate systems and develops data administration and reporting capabilities.
Design and manage cloud-based warehouse environment
Partner with stakeholders to develop and lead project from “cradle-to-grave” including developing scope and project plan inclusive of budget, timeline, resources and risks. Integrate cross-functional inputs from operations, commercial and finance teams.
Configure the selected system and run analytics
Develop ETL pipelines into the data warehouse
Model data within the selected cloud environment and utilize other systems
Gather, document, communicate and configure to user requirements, as well as explore and deliver data solution to these requirements
Technical Requirements
7+ years of data engineering experience.
Strong expertise and experience with cloud-based data warehouse (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) - ideally building ground up
Demonstrated experience in data modeling, ability to enrich data, snapshot, etc.
Mastery of ETL tools
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/initiatives in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Capability to work in a fasted paced environment and ability to develop entrepreneurship, agility, and open innovation mindset.
Extensive experience with using project management and/or collaboration tools.
Ability to travel frequently between sites as needed.
