Sr Finance & Planning Manager

As a Finance Business Partner for Weyerhaeuser’s Corporate Development Organization (“CDO”), you will play a pivotal role in partnering with and supporting a talented team of business leaders that are collectively focused on growing and optimizing the value of each acre across the company’s industry-leading 10-million-acre portfolio. You will use your financial and business acumen to develop financial models, forecasts and analyses aimed at providing insights that drive business decisions and influence strategic priorities across a variety of unique and dynamic business lines and portfolio management teams, including Real Estate, Energy & Natural Resources, Acquisitions & Divestitures, Business Development and Natural Climate Solutions.Key Functions:

Business Partnership: Act as a key business partner to a subset of CDO’s business line leaders, offering financial guidance and support for decision-making processes and helping navigate company-wide financial processes, including but not limited to the following:

Strategic Planning: Collaborate directly with business leaders to develop and refine long-term strategic plans, road maps, and analyses to support the achievement of growth goals and targets.

Financial Projection: Lead the creation and continuous improvement of transparent, driver-based financial models that produce accurate, timely and reliable projections, enable scenario analysis and can be evolved to scale with our dynamic, growth-focused business lines.

Performance Analysis: Provide timely, accurate tracking and analysis of the organization’s business performance against financial and operational targets and expectations.

Land-Use and Investment Decision Support: Help develop and administer a consistent and transparent decision-making process that optimizes deployment of the company’s land resources and financial capital and clarifies decision risks. Provide support for and objective evaluation of business leaders’ proposals and key assumptions.

Coordination with Finance: Foster and maintain an effective information conduit between business operators and key finance functions (tax, accounting, treasury, investor relations, etc.); support critical CFO processes including REIT compliance, quarterly earnings release, board of directors presentation preparation, and company-wide strategic planning.

Process Improvement and Innovation: Continuously improve upon financial processes, control activities and systems to enhance efficiency, quality of information and overall value added. Ensure that processes evolve and scale to accommodate the dynamic nature of growing businesses.

8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, corporate finance or related/similar fields

Bachelor’s degree

Foundational working knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/general ledger systems

Professional certification (CPA, CFA, etc.) preferred but not required

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $125,994 to $189,129 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 20% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use.
