Sr Project Manager

AECOM seeks a Senior Project Manager in Water Resources to join our Flood Risk Solutions team. This role will focus on managing complex flood hazards studies nationwide, as well as support to the Program Management Office of a joint venture supporting FEMA's Risk MAP Program, including support to the National Dam Safety Program (NDSP).The ideal candidate will be an engineer and project management professional with technical knowledge of Risk MAP, the National Dam Safety Program and project and team management expertise. Additionally, the candidate will nurture a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, GIS staff, and specialty sub-consultants, while also engaging with national experts for quality delivery of projects against FEMA's Guidelines and Standards for the Risk MAP Program. The candidate will be responsible for executing professional project work and cultivating strong client relationships within FEMA Region 10 area. Candidate will demonstrate the ability to:Manage a portfolio of multiple projects, with successful project execution and positive client feedbackLead and mentor project managers within the Flood Risk Solutions group, as well as collaborate with partner and sub-consulting engineering firmsSupport business development and marketing efforts for proposals and presentationsProvide oversight and direction for all phases of project work, ensuring adherence to the company’s and JV's Quality Assurance programBuild and maintain relationships with key officials of client agencies, organizations, and partner companiesExercise decision-making authority in recognizing risk and uncertainty, with plans to mitigate and eliminate such risksDirect staff to minimize exposure to claims and ensure projects are completed without significant issuesCommunicate effectively with clients and project teams, including public agenciesFacilitate team communication, coordination, and collaboration to support assigned projectsWorks within FEMA Risk MAP Program guidelines and standards as part of the Production and Technical Services (PTS) contractResponsible for delivery of Risk MAP projects through management of regional task ordersSupports governance of the Compass PTS requirements as part of the Program Management Office (PMO)Leads initiatives to improve quality review scores and processes within the Compass teamManages integration of the Risk MAP and National Dam Safety Program objectives
