About the role:We’re seeking a high-performing Staff Product Manager, reporting to the SVP, Product, to lead the evolution of Ignition’s Payments product, owning the infrastructure, capabilities, and customer experience that power how service businesses get paid.Your focus will be ensuring we prioritise and deliver the right roadmap, build robust and delightful payment experiences, and drive adoption, engagement, and utilisation across our customer base.You’ll operate as the product execution and systems leader for Payments: defining strategy through a product lens, translating customer, market, and operational insights into clear priorities, and working hands-on with Engineering and Design to deliver a world-class payments platform.Why This Role Matters:Ignition Payments is a critical growth pillar for the business. To reach our next stage of scale, we need a product leader who can connect deep customer understanding, analytical rigour, and execution discipline, turning strategy into sustained momentum.This role exists to rebuild and strengthen product execution in Payments: ensuring Engineering and Design are empowered by clarity, that we’re building what matters most, and that customers experience a fast, reliable, and delightful way to get paid.What your day to day will look like:Own the Payments product roadmap: Define, prioritize, and execute against product strategy across payment rails (ACH, PAD, card, etc.) and global markets.Business outcomes: Translate commercial objectives into product strategy and execution plans, ensuring alignment without conflating ownership.Develop a deep understanding of customer and market payment pain points: Regularly speak with customers, partners, and internal teams to understand how service businesses experience payments today and where friction, trust, and opportunity lie.Deeply understand payments infrastructure and user experience: Manage capabilities such as onboarding, payouts, reconciliation, fraud/risk controls, and reporting to optimize reliability, speed, and trust.Collaborate with Engineering and Design: Lead discovery, requirements definition, and delivery to ensure a tight feedback loop and strong execution quality.Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Fraud/Risk Ops to ensure the product is well-adopted, well-supported, and well-understood.Drive adoption and utilization: Use quantitative and qualitative insights to identify barriers to activation, deepen engagement, and increase payment volume across the base.Build a culture of experimentation and learning: Use first-principles thinking and test-and-learn approaches to validate assumptions, iterate on solutions, and deliver measurable impact.Be data-driven and outcomes-focused: Define success through customer and business metrics, not feature output. Establish clear KPIs and leverage data to guide prioritization, decision-making, and retrospectives.Optimise systems and scale: Continuously improve reliability, compliance, and performance of global payments infrastructure in partnership with external providers (e.g., Stripe).
