You’ll help with assessing our client’s state and local tax burden and recommend solutions that support their overall business objectives to ensure that their filling positions are consistent with good business practices and with the states applicable tax laws and rules.Our team helps our Financial Services clients transform risk and compliance related to state and local taxes into a business advantage by aligning their state tax plan with the business strategy. The OpportunityAs part of the State and Local Tax Financial Services team you are expected to lead the way as technology-enabled tax advisors who provide significance through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. As a Senior Associate you are to analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain rigorous standards. You are to focus on building client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context, learning how to manage and inspire others while navigating increasingly complex situations.Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the strategic vision of the State and Local Tax Financial Services team

What You Must Have

Bachelor's Degree

2 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation preferred

Experience in partnership tax compliance and public accounting practices

Knowledge of tax forms, including K-1s, FAS 109, FIN 48

Experience identifying and addressing client needs

Building substantial relationships with clients

Communicating with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner

Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks

Providing guidance and feedback to less-experienced staff

CPA or commitment to pass CPA exam before being promoted to Manager and thereafter obtain CPA or Active Member of the Bar.

For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position.
