The Global Sales Strategy and Operations (GSSO) supports the AWS Global Sales (AGS) organization through strategy, strategic initiative design and implementation, program management, and business insights and reporting. GSSO is routinely trusted to create and seamlessly deliver transformative insights, programs, and mechanisms at scale for AGS’ most critical initiatives.We are seeking a Strategic Planning Analyst to join the AGS Worldwide Strategic Planning (WSP) team. In this role, you will support the launch of annual and multi-year strategic initiatives through cross functional collaboration to build requirements to drive modifications to planning and operations tooling, define performance metrics and KPIs, automate reporting and reporting tools, integrate initiatives into current business performance tracking mechanisms and create repeatable and scalable processes to analyze data and support informed decision-making.The ideal candidate thrives in an ambiguous environment, has a passion for innovating and solving complex problems, and possesses advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Build and deploy robust tooling and automation solutions, building consensus with stakeholders on strategic initiative priorities and requirements, technical feasibility, and development effort.

Document software designs and data flows for frontend UI and backend data integration.

Partner with data science and planning tool teams to design reporting tools and dashboards that measure results and provide real-time insights.

Lead the development and tracking of metrics, KPIs and goals for new strategic programs to provide deep insights into strategic initiative performance.

Set up and manage business rhythms, including recurrent meetings, program wiki pages, document repositories, and Wisdom pages.

3+ years of business or financial analysis experience

1+ years of sales operations, sales planning experience or equivalent

Basic understanding of project management principles and tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both business and technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

Experience with SQL.

Experience with AWS products or services is a plus

The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
