Join us and let’s get started.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking Entry Level Transportation Engineer candidate for the West Region Transportation Rotation Program (TRP) to be based in offices throughout our West Region (Los Angeles, Orange, Oakland, Seattle, Sacramento, San Diego and Portland).TRP is an immersive 18-month program, full time, intended to accelerate career development for entry level transportation engineers. TRP new hires would rotate through three 6-month assignments through any three of AECOM’s Transportation Divisions (Surface Transportation, Ports/Marine, Traffic, Transit/Rail, Structures, Aviation or Construction Management). At the conclusion of the program, TRP candidates would have the opportunity to choose their permanent Home Division and office location.Responsibilities of TRP enrollees include, but are not limited to:

Builds analytic and design skills.

Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Performs design work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Engages in peer discussions with fellow TRP enrollees through the program life cycle, including presentations.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher education in Civil Engineering with coursework in Transportation planning and policy

Previous internship experience in relevant field

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D Design, Microstation, OpenRoads or similar applications

Basic proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping and graphics

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
