Position Overview

The Area Lead for Workplace Snack & Drink supports day-to-day service and oversees multiple client locations within Just Fare’s workplace programs. This role balances hands-on service delivery with leadership responsibilities — ensuring operational consistency, excellent hospitality, and smooth coordination between on-site teams and HQ. The Area Lead acts as the first point of contact for assigned client locations, supports Workplace Attendants, and ensures each site meets Just Fare’s standards for quality, sustainability, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Program Oversight & Operations

-Perform the daily operational functions for multiple assigned client locations, ensuring service areas are stocked, clean, and aligned with Just Fare presentation standards.

-Hands on support in performing daily stocking, receiving, and inventory tasks for multiple sites as needed.

-Maintain accurate inventory records, manage smallwares, and ensure FIFO rotation.

-Monitor product levels, place orders within budget, and communicate shortages or substitutions to HQ.

-Identify recurring operational issues or equipment needs and escalate promptly.

-Maintain consistency in service quality and sustainability practices across all assigned sites.

Team Leadership

-Provide daily support and direction to Workplace Attendants across multiple locations.

-Ensure staff follow SOPs and uphold Just Fare’s hospitality and service standards.

-Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.

-Serve as the first point of escalation for team or client concerns at assigned sites, resolving issues with professionalism and discretion.

-Collaborate with HQ and Senior Program Manager on scheduling, staffing changes, and coverage needs.

Client & Guest Relations

-Ability to build strong relationships with clients in the office, while creating a positive and warm environment amongst a large diverse community

-Ability to anticipate and respond to client feedback and requests with a hospitality-forward, solutions-oriented approach.

-Communicate service updates, issues, and successes to HQ and clients as needed.

Reporting & Communication

-Submit daily and weekly reports on service performance, inventory, and staffing updates to HQ.

-Track waste, donations, and other key metrics in line with Just Fare’s sustainability goals.

-Participate in regular check-ins with HQ and contribute to team meetings or pilot rollouts

Qualifications & Requirements

-3+ years experience in a formal kitchen environment with a passion for food and people

-2+ years barista experience with at least 1 year in a lead role overseeing others.

-Positive attitude, strong work ethic, communication and patience

-Exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

-Attendance and punctuality is required with schedule flexibility determined by needs

-Ability to work independently, be a self-sufficient problem solver and make sound decisions on-the-fly

-Strong understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures

-Computer literacy

-Basic Food Handler Certification

-Smartphone will be needed for communication

-Experience with inventory management, ordering, receiving, stocking and proper rotation of perishables and compostables.

Schedule & Expectations

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with hours dependent on the service. You are responsible for managing your schedule, based on your shift availability, with your supervisor.
