The job requirement includes:
Must have a class 12 Mast permit (aka mixologist, bartender's permit) This is mandatory prior to interview. Laws and responsibilities of pouring alcoholic drinks to 21 years and up customers. How to check ID correctly and spot fake Id.
Having basic knowledge of modern day popular cocktails: What is the evolution of a martini? What is the difference between a whiskey sour and a classic whiskey sour? What is the difference between Original Mai tai or store bought mai tai, margarita, vodka pressed, what is the golden ratio of sweet & sour bitter and spirit forward?
Ability to comprehend direction following and problem solving. Quick to react during conflicts or disputes at any given time.
Must have an open minded attitude and flexibility to work minimum 3 days a week. May be required to work Holidays and when hired no vacation or requested days off for the first 3 months.
Ability to lift 50 pounds of beer keg (dollies are available)
Multi-tasking skill is a must, bartenders are also servers as well as food expediters.
Personal Hygiene includes not over spraying cologne or body spray. Not wearing clothing items that hasn't been washed for a prominent amount of time. Daily self care is important to not over-bear on customers and co-workers, example: wash and shampoo bodily care, nails must be clean for working directly with food, available for random drug test and background search.
