Chelsea Farms Oyster Bar is seeking a full-time, professional bartender. The ideal candidate will have

experience working in a fast-paced environment and can maintain our standards of service while providing our guests with the exceptional quality of product they are accustomed to from our bar program. Open availability is required.

They will also be expected to:

Uphold CFOB’s mission and vision.

Mix classic and creative cocktails

Produce drinks in a prompt, efficient manner, in accordance with the standards and procedures outlined in our recipes.

Be able to upsell and be educated about our products.

Take food and beverage orders both from bar guests and guests seated at tables.

Make suggestions based on guests’ tastes and preferences.

Process payments.

Clean glasses and bar utensils, etc.

Fill out closing shift paperwork: cc tips, house acct tips, cash tips and cash deposits. Balance till.

Practice teamwork. Maintain a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers. Assist service team – take a proactive approach to teamwork.

Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation. Follow Health Department standards for hygiene and safe food handling. Maintain current Food Handlers and MAST permits.

Perform opening, cleaning, and closing duties in an efficient and thorough manner. Help maintain cleanliness of restaurant.

Adhere to state liquor regulations in serving alcohol. Be mindful about over-service.

Be aware of profitability by proper portioning, controlling waste, promoting sales, and ensuring all items ordered are rung in.

Create a positive and fun atmosphere while behind the bar.

Skills and qualifications include but are not limited to:

Trustworthiness and accountability

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

Knowledge of mixology for classic and creative cocktails

General knowledge of beer & wine

General knowledge of bar prep: juicing citrus, making syrups/infusions, etc.

Understanding how to build a balanced cocktail

Confidence in creating a cocktail from conception to execution

Impeccable customer service and social awareness

Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and be responsive

Ability to lift heavy objects and stand/walk for long periods of time

Ability to change a keg
