Food Service Manager
We need a hands-on Food Service Manager!
Colonial Residence, an independent senior community in Centralia, WA, is seeking a service-oriented individual with strong organizational skills to fill the position of Food Service Manager. Responsibilities include delivering nutritional food & beverages with quality service while managing costs & meeting state health/regulatory standards. Kitchen staff supervision, menu planning, vendor relations, inventory control experience & knowledge of nutritional needs of older adults required. The position requires hands-on food preparation and general kitchen duties. Meals provided to residents daily are lunch and dinner. Snacks may be put out in the morning.
Qualified candidates must have a passion for cooking FROM SCRATCH, exceptional skills as a team leader and manager, a love for seniors and the drive to be part of a successful team.
The food service manager will cook at least four days a week! As a non-profit we may hold fundraising events and expect the Food Service Management to participate. This position may require weekends and holidays.
Minimum Requirements:
Prefer 2 or more years of food service leadership and cooking for a large group (50) or more.
Must have training in food service.
Experienced with food preparation methods
Have a food handlers card
Must be able to prove or obtain Servsafe Manager Certification
