Firefly Kitchens is seeking a highly motivated person with a passion for food and strong work ethic to join our production team. We are a small, dynamic company in the brewery district of Ballard, and makers of wild-fermented foods - specializing in sauerkraut!
We are looking for experienced food production line staff. (Full time team members work Mon-Thurs 8:30-5pm, approx. 32 hours a week). Along with being a skilled production worker, you must also be consistent & dependable, coachable, possess strong communication skills, and work with a sense of urgency and good time management.
We are looking for professionals with organized work practices to prepare food to exact specifications and to set up stations for the production line.
Responsibilities:
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Cleaning, peeling, chopping and shredding vegetables in preparation for barrel fermentation
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that the sauerkraut is weighed and packaged in high quality, and in a timely fashion
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and management
Skills:
Production line experience, but willing to train the right candidate!
Excellent understanding of sanitation practices, equipment, and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Requirements:
Lifting 50lbs several times a day
Food Handlers permit
Compensation: $21-$23 per hour
