Mox Boarding House in Bellevue: we are hiring for a PT Cook with primarily daytime to early evening availability.
About Us: Mox Boarding House is the premiere gathering place for friends and family to share in tabletop gaming experiences! We are a one-of-a-kind one-stop-shop, offering an extensive retail store and a full-service restaurant set within a beautifully designed and intentionally crafted space. As a member of the Card Kingdom family, we have been serving our local communities for over 20 years and we re looking to add more folks to our team.
As a member of our restaurant team, you will be treating guests to food and beverage from our menus and helping to facilitate their full-fledged gaming experience. While every Mox location is unique, each offers a dining experience in our welcoming restaurant, tournament hall, or themed private rooms.

Role: Our line cooks are responsible for the daily preparation and execution of all items coming out of our kitchen. Our kitchen team members maintain a clean work environment while following proper sanitation practices. We run from-scratch menus with local ingredients and seek to provide an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Our cooks are expected to participate in preparation and line execution, facilitating hundreds of covers per shift in a timely manner. We value the ability to work independently and with a team while maintaining professional behavior.
Responsibilities:
Prepares all food items, as directed, in a quality, sanitary, and timely manner.
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
Ensures proper food safety and sanitation.
Most preparation includes, but is not limited to: cutting, saut ing, broiling, and cooking various items such as meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, salads, desserts, and other ingredients.
Restocks all items as needed throughout shift while utilizing the First in First out (FIFO) methodology.
Holds understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
This role will spend most of the time standing. You must be able to transport up to 50lbs occasionally and up to 35lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of professional cooking with at least one year of previous prep or line cook experience.
Must have the requisite food handling permit and a thorough knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling practices.
Must be able to read, understand, and execute food preparation recipes.
Ability to work effectively on a team and independently.
Possess a strong commitment to quality service and dedication to furthering culinary knowledge.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
