COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Starting hourly wage $20.76 with $4-13/hour in tips (average of $61k annual salary)

To work in our kitchen, you must be driven by the desire to grow as an individual and in your craft. We are a team of people who experience joy in the process of refining our skills and the quality of our ice cream. We all find joy in making the best ice cream around, and from doing better tomorrow. Our ice cream is made from scratch and we do every step ourselves - it's a labor of love.

You'll be working in every station - freezing ice cream, baking, making bases, pasteurization and filling pints (we do this by hand).

QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ professional culinary experience preferred but not required.

Current Washington State Food Worker card.

Ability to stand on your feet for a long period of time.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.

Ability to work in a walk-in freezer at sub-zero temperatures during shifts.

Produce ice cream to specifications and in accordance with the daily production schedule.

Follow recipes and production protocol explicitly, carefully weighing and measuring all ingredients as specified.

Taste ingredients and products during and after production for quality-control purposes.

Complete daily production logs.

Work with the kitchen team and management to improve efficiency.

Properly label, date, package and store pints and tubs of finished product.

Comfortably pour large amounts of ingredients into machines throughout your shift.

Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the team.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with King County Public Health requirements and industry best practices.
