The Salty Shack @ The Octopus Bar is looking for a COOK!

We're currently running a sandwich shop out of The Octopus Bar named The Salty Shack!

The Shack is a sandwich shop with some deep fried goods and snacks! The majority of our menu is made/prepared from scratch in house.

Hours available are part time (currently 5pm - 11:30pm Friday / Saturdays + 11am - 4:00pm Sundays) with plenty of room to pick up shifts on a weekly basis!

Our cooks all work shifts on the line, expo and prep.

The Shack stays pretty busy! So we'll need someone organized and quick on their feet who's ready to multi-task.

Cooks will need;

-Experience with Deli Slicers (or ability to learn)

-Experience with an AutoFry system is helpful but it's an easy machine to learn quick

-Ability to follow recipes

-Decent Knife Skills

-A good sense of organization this is a one body kitchen where a bartender or a Manager helps with rushes to get food out.

-Ability to multi-task and remain focused

-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time

-Valid Food Handlers Permit within 2 weeks of employment

At this point in time all members of The Octopus Bar staff need to be 21 years or older.

Compensation will be discussed upon interview and gauged based on experience and performance.

100% of food sale tips are split evenly among kitchen staff members only.

Daily tip-outs can range from $25-$100 depending on business for that day/shift.

Background checks will be performed upon hiring in order to continue to provide a safe, non-violent atmosphere amongst staff and customers
