As we continue to expand our offerings and grow our business, we are seeking a talented, positive and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a Pastry Chef at The North Bend Bakery, you will play a key role in crafting and executing our pastry and dessert menu. You will be responsible for creating a wide range of sweet treats, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and other confections. With your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for pastry arts, you will help us maintain the high standards of quality and flavor that our customers have come to expect. We work hard, so it's important for us to hire someone who enjoys their job just like we do :)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a diverse menu of pastries and desserts that aligns with our bakery's brand and vision.

Prepare and bake a variety of sweet treats, including cakes, tarts, croissants, cookies, and other pastries, from scratch using high-quality ingredients.

Decorate and finish pastries with precision and artistic flair, ensuring they are visually appealing and Instagram-worthy.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and flavor combinations into our pastry offerings.

Manage inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.

Train and mentor junior pastry staff, providing guidance on techniques, recipes, and best practices.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Collaborate with other members of the bakery team to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of freshly baked goods.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a high-volume bakery or pastry shop.

-Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking, and pastry decoration.

-Creative flair and passion for experimenting with flavors, textures, and presentation.

-Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

-Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.

-Commitment to upholding high standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness.

-Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Flexible schedule, late start around 12pm.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. $18-$20/hour DOE plus Tips
