Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Izakaya Supa Banana is new dining concept where we aspire to evolve the traditional idea of a izakaya into a contemporary gastro pub for the modern day person that will be a part of their lifestyle and fulfil needs by being the place for food, drinks and get-togethers. The spirit of Supa Banana is a play on the idea that we are Japanese-Asian focused with varying western influences while being irreverent, keeping things light hearted and fun.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager who can help us launch the new concept, grow the company culture and oversee the daily operations of our new modern Japanese dining establishment.
Overall Responsibilities:
Work together with the owner to setup the restaurant during the pre-open phase
Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management and customer service
Mentor, train, supervise, and schedule staff members to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor, address and document team performance through feedback, positive recognition, formal performance reviews, and when necessary, disciplinary action.
Manage budgets and control expenses to align with project planning
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food, health and safety regulations
Handle transactions and ensure accurate reporting.
Lead staff meetings to update areas of focus and gather feedback for improvement
Inspire and lead by example, help grow a positive and healthy company culture and work environment.
An ideal candidate will have:
A passion for hospitality as well as possessing a strong work ethic
Strong communication skills with the ability to problem solve
4-5 years of experience in a comparable position
New restaurant opening experience (preferable)
Knowledge of Japanese cuisine a (preferable, but not required)
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing growth of the brand. As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, safety as well as growing and maintaining a healthy work environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000 per year + bonus
