Basilico Ristorante is seeking a part-time host to work Friday and Saturday nights for dinner service, with the possibility of picking up a shift or two on busy nights, or for holidays and special events. Shifts start at 3:30pm, and the host is the first to depart after all reservations are in (usually around 8pm-8:30pm). Job duties include answering telephones, greeting and seating guests, managing the flow of arrivals and walk-ins and taking reservations. During the service the host is also responsible for keeping water glasses full, and clearing and resetting tables for the next arrivals.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of customer service experience, and some experience in a restaurant. Grace, poise, the ability to multi-task, and stay cool under pressure are also highly useful in this position.
This position pays minimum wage, plus a share of tips.
