Job Summary:
We are looking to add a few part time servers and one weekend host to our amazing team at Derby Restaurant in Sodo, located inside The Shop.
Duties:
-Greet customers promptly in a kind, friendly and professional manner
-Properly and accurately take guests orders
-Deliver orders in a quick and timely manner and follow all food safety protocols
-Help team members do the same for their tables, and have an efficient work flow to help the restaurant run smoothly
-Bus tables, help do dishes and stock server stations
-Upsell menu items to elevate guest experience
-Be able to work well within a team setting
-Be able to take direction well from managers
Experience
-Prior serving experience (minimum one year)
-Currently we are using TOAST, some knowledge would be great however we can train on this
-Customer service experience is a must, be able to communicate respectfully to co-workers and customers
-Strong cash handling experience
-Must work well in a fast paced environment and be able to keep up with the team
-Must have a positive and upbeat attitude, enjoy working in customer service and be reliable
Job types:
Server: Part-time hours. (flexible availability needed) and available to pick up shifts during football games as well as events we host. We do require servers agree to working a minimum of two events during the fall/winter each month. We host and cater a lot of holiday parties and these are a great way to bring in extra income.
Host: Saturday and Sunday brunch shifts (9am-4pm) both days, preference goes to someone who is willing to work both, every weekend. We are getting busier now that football and event season are here. Availability to pick up some event shifts if desired.
Pay: Server: Min + tips, we are in a shared tip pool
Host: Min + tip pool percentage per day

Additional info: We host and cater plenty of events every month so there is always an opportunity to pick up hours and work these events. We do partner with a local catering company for these and they range anywhere from 20-1000 people depending on the event. We are requiring a commitment of at least two events per staff member outside of normal scheduling, however these are great money making opportunities and usually do not go super late at all.
