Girardi's Osteria is hiring a Server/Bartender
Girardi's is a full service Italian restaurant in the same location for 26 years. It is an institution in Edmonds with a lot of tradition and loyal following. It is a healthy and friendly work environment.
Our servers also tend bar and pour their own drinks so experience as a bartender and server is a requirement for this opening. This position requires the ability to work all shifts, all days, as scheduled. The current opening is for a part time member, who after training has been completed, will fill in for vacations, short notice sick days or other unforeseen days off, and specially on our busy days. It may turn into a full time (4 to 5 days a week) position, but that is not the scope of this posting.
The best candidate is one with a ton of experience who wants a few days of work here and there, but doesn't want to get a full time job.

Shifts end up being 4 to 6 hours weekdays, and as high as open to close on the weekends (Thurs to Sunday) as needed.
To succeed you need to work hard, be organized and self-motivated. You need to pay attention to our processes, recipes and portions, and our safety practices. Must be able to carry a bucket of ice or a case of wine up and down stairs a couple of times a day.
Reliable transportation and proximity to work of less than half hour is a must.
Black attire and black slip-resistant shoes are required at work.
Visible Tattoos must be covered up and facial studs are not allowed as this is a conservative dining room.
While not a requirement, experience serving in an Italian restaurant and conversational Italian are a definite plus and so is extensive wine knowledge or Sommelier certification.
Employment Authorization is required as well as valid MAST Class 12, and Food Handler's permits.
